How our eye test works
First visit or a prescription that feels off, we check everything in the same careful order.

Consultation · unaided vision
We hear what's bothering you and how you live, then check how well you see without glasses.

Autorefraction
A machine gives a rough reading of short sight, long sight and astigmatism. It's only a starting point.

Sphere refraction
We change trial lenses step by step to find a prescription that is both sharp and comfortable.

Astigmatism fine-tuning
We fine-tune the axis and strength of your astigmatism to reduce blur and double images.

Binocular balance
We balance both eyes so they work together without strain.

Near vision · trial wear
We check reading and phone distance, then you walk around in trial frames for a final check.
